Join Our
Network
Ola & Vick is building more than a magazine. We are building a community of Nigerian fashion designers, tailors, models, photographers, and creatives who believe African cultural fashion deserves to be seen, celebrated, and taken seriously. Read the rules carefully, choose your track, and apply directly on WhatsApp.
General Rules & Standards
These rules apply to everyone who applies to join the Ola & Vick network — regardless of which track you are applying for. Please read them fully before sending your application. Applications that do not meet these standards will not be accepted.
Ola & Vick is a selective network. We would rather work with a smaller number of people properly than accept everyone and deliver nothing of value. Every person we accept into the network represents Ola & Vick — so we take every application seriously and we ask that you do the same.
We respond to all applications within 48 hours. If you have not heard back after 5 days, you may follow up once. We do not give reasons for unsuccessful applications but we are always respectful and direct in our responses.
Our Non-Negotiable Standards
Genuine Cultural Connection
You must have a real connection to African cultural fashion — not just a passing interest. We work with people who are committed to the culture, not those who see it as a trend.
Professional Conduct
All members of the Ola & Vick network are expected to conduct themselves professionally at all times — in their work, their communication, and their representation of the network.
Honest Representation
You must represent your work and experience honestly. Do not send samples that are not yours. Do not claim experience you do not have. We verify work and we value honesty above all else.
Nigeria or African Diaspora Based
Our network is Nigerian at its heart. We accept applications from people based in Nigeria and from Nigerians and Africans living in the diaspora worldwide.
No Payment Required to Apply
Applying to join the Ola & Vick network is completely free. We will never ask you to pay to be considered. If anyone contacts you claiming to represent Ola & Vick and asks for payment to be featured, report it to us immediately.
Fashion Designers
& Tailors
We are looking for Nigerian fashion designers and tailors who are producing genuine cultural fashion work — Ankara, Agbada, Aso-Oke, Adire, George lace, wedding fashion, children’s traditional wear, or any other African cultural garment.
You do not need to be a famous name. You do not need a large Instagram following. You need to produce work that is genuinely good, genuinely cultural, and genuinely yours.
What We Offer You
Editorial Feature
A dedicated article on olavick.com telling your story, showcasing your work, and directing our readers to contact you for commissions.

Your feature is promoted across our Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and other social channels — putting your work in front of our full audience.

A permanent listing in the Ola & Vick network directory — an ongoing reference that directs readers looking for commissions directly to you.

Aspiring
Models
We are looking for aspiring models at any stage of their journey — complete beginners who have never been in front of a professional camera, and those who have some experience but want wider visibility in the African cultural fashion space.
You do not need professional photos to apply. Clear, well-lit phone photos are completely acceptable for your initial application. What matters is your look, your confidence, and your genuine interest in African cultural fashion modelling.
Your Path to Visibility
Model Spotlight Feature
A dedicated feature on olavick.com with your photos, measurements, location, and booking contact — promoted across all our social channels.
Editorial Shoot Opportunities
We connect you with photographers and designers in our network for editorial shoots — giving you professional portfolio images and visibility from the collaboration.
Modelling Programme
Access to our Fashion & Modelling Learning Programme — covering posing, presentation, portfolio building, and navigating the Nigerian fashion industry.
Direct Industry Connections
Introductions to designers, photographers, and brands in our network who are actively looking for new talent for shoots, campaigns, and shows.
Photographers
& Creatives
We are looking for fashion photographers, wedding photographers, creative directors, and stylists who have a genuine eye for African cultural fashion and the technical skill to capture it properly.
Your portfolio does not need to be large. It needs to be good. Two or three strong images that show you understand light, composition, and how to make African cultural dress look the way it deserves to look will tell us more than fifty average photos.
Build Something Together

Work with us on editorial shoots for olavick.com — your photography credited and promoted across our platform and social channels.
Direct Client Referrals
We regularly receive enquiries from readers, designers, and brides looking for photographers. Network members get direct referrals from us.
Paid Commercial Opportunities
When we produce sponsored content and brand features, we bring in photographers from our network — giving you paid commercial photography work.
Nigerian fashion has the talent. What it needs is a platform that takes it seriously — and people who are willing to show up, do the work, and represent the culture with pride.
